1990年渡米。

The Art Institute of Coloradoを卒業後、

1997年American Photographie Annual(アメリカ写真年鑑)

フリーのアシスタントとしてNorbert SchoernerやStefan Ruizの撮影を経験。

1999年独立。2005年に渡英し、広告を中心に活動。

現在は東京を拠点に国内外で活動中。

SATOSHI MINAKAWA

Born and raised in Tokyo. He studied and graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado with a degree in

Photography in 1995.

With his deep and growing interest in experimenting with conceptual photography, he experienced assisting

well-known photographers such as Norbert Schoerner and Stefan Ruiz.

He left Japan in 2005 to study for an MA in Photography at the London College of Fashion in London after

having already built an excellent reputation as a photographer at home.

Satoshi’s style of fashion, sports and concept photography produces much more than a beautiful image. The

visual complexity of his photography pushes the limits and creates powerful multilayered images perfect for

global campaigns.

He is now based in Tokyo and travels the world bringing his unique mix of strong lighting techniques,

boundless energy and conceptual thinking to each project.
